1. PRODUCT INFORMATION

What are art prints?

Art Prints are quality reproductions of original art works on various print surfaces such as paper, canvas etc. crafted for home and office decor. At SmartArt.in we have thousands of art prints of fine art paintings, illustrations, photography & movies, music and pop culture to enhance your walls in all living and working spaces. 

All of these are licensed reproductions of images copyrighted to their respective owners and creators. Our Art Prints are selected carefully and available in different print types, namely Fine Art Prints, Canvas Prints and Limited Edition Prints on paper or canvas. All our items are sold unframed, unstretched and unmounted.



Print Types 

a. What is a Fine Art Print?

A Fine Art Print is a reproduction on high-quality paper, printed with careful attention to the original's colour details. Fine Art prints are printed using various methods like lithography, serigraphy (silk-screen printing), offset printing and etching.


b. What is a Canvas Print?

This is a high-quality digital reproduction of an image directly onto canvas. Treated with special surface finishes our canvas prints can be hung either framed or simply mounted.

Care for Canvas Prints :
 The printed surface of canvas prints can be wiped clean with the use of a soft dry cloth. Avoid using a damp cloth, water or cleaning liquids on the Canvas Print surface.


c. What is a Limited Edition Print?

A Limited Edition is a reproduction of a select artwork in limited quanty as determined by the artist. 
For print quality, Limited Editions are considered to be the closest to an original artwork, with excellent detail and depth of colour. They are usually printed digitally as Giclees using archival inks and acid-free art papers or by the Serigraphy (Silk-screen) printing method. 

Limited Edition prints are produced only after the artist approves the printing proofs, ensuring they are faithful to the original work. The artist then numbers and signs each print in the limited edition.


d. What is a Poster?

Posters are reproductions in large volumes on less expensive gloss paper. Commercial music and movie posters are examples of this print type.



Are Print Sizes accurate?

The sizes/print sizes given are the full sizes of the art prints and not just the image or printed area. However, in the case of Canvas Prints the size/print size given on the site is of only the printed area and does not include the additional white border provided for stretching.

While we make every effort to provide accurate measurements, final print sizes may vary slightly from online sizes. We do not recommend buying frames before receiving your print and returns will not be accepted for this reason. 



How close is the website image to the actual printed image?

SmartArt.in displays the best visual representation of our artwork with as a high a degree of accuracy in colour and image as is possible on our website. However, all computer displays, computer video cards, printers, and interfaces represent coloration/contrast differently; what you see on your personal screen or your personal printout of an image may not exactly match your purchased image.

2. SEARCHING HELP

Find the perfect art for your space with any of these easy tools to help you.
On the Homepage itself you will find images and options to search for art prints by Subject, or Colours. (On other pages you will almost always find these search options on the right).

For a detailed or advanced search you can click on the Search icon among the icons at the top right of every page. This will help you search individually or in combination, all the categories on the Search Bar i.e. Item Code / Title / Artist / Subject / Colour / Size / Price / Print Type. 

If you would like either broader or more specific results use the Search by Keyword box on the Search bar near the top of pages. Typing a title, artist name, item code, subject or description in the search box will return matches depending on keywords used.




3. SHOPPING HELP


Browsing through Products

While looking through thumbnail images you will see below each thumbnail the details of that particular print. These will include the Title, Artist's Name, Size in inches (and ‘other sizes’ indicated if the image is available in more than one size), the Print Type, the Price and the order processing time before it ships. Click on the artist's name if you would like to view all works by that artist.

Below each item’s details is the ‘Add to Cart’ button which gives you the option to add the item to your shopping cart in order to purchase it. 

Clicking on the ‘Zoom’ button or each thumbnail image takes you to a single large image of the same thumbnail with all details of that print. Other sizes if available will be listed in a drop-down box here and any other details specific to that item will be mentioned. You may choose to ‘Add to Cart’ here too and even e-mail the image to a friend. Below the large image you will find ‘Related Art’ suggestions or other prints that are similar to your large image choice which you may want to consider.


Items Viewed by you

As you view large images the ‘Items Viewed by You’ facility appears at the bottom of thumbnail pages. (If you cannot see it or want to update it simply refresh any thumbnail page). This is your list of all the large images that you have viewed or zoomed to and is designed to help you keep track of your choices. Click on any of them to go back to that large image page.

You can even Edit your ‘Items Viewed’ images and E-mail them to a friend by clicking the button provided. The e-mail will send your thumbnail selection with item details and provide the recipient with a link to return to the same selection on the SmartArt.in website.

Note: Another facility for keeping track of your choices is the ‘Save Shopping Cart’ facility at the bottom of your shopping cart. This helps you keep track of the items you have added to your cart if you wish to order later (maximum 30 days after which your saved cart will not be available to you). This feature requires you to input your e-mail address which will work as your password when you wish to retrieve your shopping cart.


Ordering

Shopping Cart

To view your shopping cart at any time use the CART Icon at the top right of every page. 

As you "Add to Cart" you are filling your shopping cart with items you wish to purchase. 
Your chosen items display individually with details and prices. Shipping charges will appear below as a single sub total which automatically updates depending on the items in your cart. 

Once you have all your items in your cart and are ready to place your order and pay, click on "Checkout" at the bottom of your cart.

Saving your shopping cart 
If you wish to save your shopping cart to order at a later time your cart will hold items for 30 days. Save it using the ‘Save Shopping Cart’ facility provided at the bottom of your shopping cart page. 
This feature requires you to input your e-mail address which will work as your password when you wish to retrieve your shopping cart. 
Note: If you do not complete your purchase within 30 days, your cart will be emptied.


Gift Vouchers 


Purchasing a Gift Voucher

You may use the GIFTS Icon on the top right of any page to purchase a Gift Voucher. 

When you purchase an SmartArt gift voucher your order confirmation will be emailed to your e-mail address and the Gift Voucher is emailed directly to the recipient’s e-mail address. Please be sure your recipient’s email address is correct before submission. You will also be asked to choose & enter a Gift Voucher password.

 

 

 

Claiming your Gift Voucher

Please Note: All SmartArt Gift Vouchers are not transferable, redeemable for cash or refundable.

 

To claim your Gift Voucher you simply begin by selecting the items you want by using the ‘Add to Cart’ button provided next to each item. (To view your shopping cart at any time use the 'CART' Icon at top right of every page). Once you have all the items you want in your shopping cart, go to the bottom part of your shopping cart page, to the Claim Gift Voucher area. 

Enter your Gift Voucher Number and Password mentioned on the voucher that was e-mailed to you, in the spaces given. NOTE: Gift Vouchers cannot be claimed without a valid Gift voucher ID &  password.

 

If the total cost of Items + Shipping in your cart exceeds your Gift Voucher value you will be asked to choose a mode of payment to pay for the amount in excess during your Checkout. If you do not use your entire Gift Voucher amount (i.e. if the total cost of Items + Shipping in your cart is less than your Gift Voucher value) then the balance amount will remain as credit and can be claimed later, using the same ID and password.

 

 

 

Payment 

At SmartArt.in we have taken immense care to make sure that a good shopping experience is completed with robust  safety and efficiency in every aspect of paying for your order. For that reason we have chosen CCAvenue as our payment gateway.

 

From your shopping cart you proceed through payment and order confirmation in a few easy steps. 


1. Billing & Shipping Details 

Your Billing Details are your Name and Address exactly as they appear on your Credit Card statement and contact information that your bank or Credit Card provider may verify in authorising payment. Your contact information also helps us to send you order confirmation and update you at all times about your order. 

Shipping Details are the delivery name, address and contact details where you would like your order delivered. If your Billing and Shipping details are the same, simply click the box provided.

Please note : SmartArt.in will ship/deliver to over 3000 Pin Codes in India. For other Delivery Destinations and for more information please see SHIPPING / DELIVERY HELP below.


2. Payment Details 

SmartArt.in customers pay with complete safety via a host of options – Credit Cards, Debit Cards, NetBanking facilities, Itz Cash cards and even Paymate mobile payments. Depending on the mode you choose, this stage is where you securely input your payment details.

Secure Payment at SmartArt.in  -  Our payment gateway adopts stringent security measures to ensure that your sensitive information is thouroughly protected. Your entire Credit Card Authorization is done through a High End Secure Payment Gateway. You enter your credit card details on the Secure Server and the same is encrypted and transmitted via secure server directly to your credit card service for authorization to complete your order. At no time does even SmartArt have access to your credit card details, thus making your payment even more secure than using your card in a restaurant.

 

 

On completion of the payment procedure you will arrive at SmartArt’s order confirmation page. You will also receive an order confirmation e-mail at the e-mail address you entered in your Billing Details during checkout. Please retain your order number for reference in all future contact with us.

 

Please Note: SmartArt reserves the right to decline any order or cancel any order or part thereof. Any payments if received by SmartArt on such orders will be refunded in full.

 



4. SHIPPING / DELIVERY HELP


Where does SmartArt.in ship to?

SmartArt.in will deliver orders to over 3000 Pincodes in India. 

You will be asked to enter your Delivery Address in the Checkout process. If it is within our Delivery Destinations list you will proceed to Payment. 

 

If the delivery address you choose is not on our Delivery Destinations list you will be informed and we regret that you will not be able to continue your checkout and pay for your order. 
If this is the case please  contact us at customercare@smartart.in  If we can get your order to your delivery address via a reliable shipping alternative we will certainly do so. Before you contact us, please  save your shopping cart using the Save facility provided at bottom of  the shopping cart page.



Processing Time

Processing of your order will begin immediately on confirmation of payment, depending on your mode of payment. Different items have different order processing periods as you will see in their respective product descriptions, (e.g. Usually ships in 12-15 days). Note: Processing time for orders containing more than one item will be according to the item in your order requiring the longest processing time as all items in a single order will ship together. 

Please note: Processing time is exclusive of Sundays and India/Maharashtra public holidays.

Packaging

SmartArt.in ships all prints and posters rolled carefully into sturdy tubes, making sure your order is well protected during delivery.



Delivery

Orders shipped on completion of the processing period and via our reliable shippers will be delivered to all destinations in India on our Delivery Destinations list within 2-5 days from shipping. In case of unforeseen delays in shipping please allow 7 days for delivery over your order processing time. If you have still not received your order please contact us with your Order Number at customercare@smartart.in

 

Please note:

 

1. Our Shipper’s services are unavailable on  Sundays and India/Maharashtra public holidays or the delivery specific state’s public holidays.

 

2.  Depending on your shipping location, Octroi Levies and/or Local Govt. Taxes may be applicable on your shipment and the same will be payable by the consignee on delivery to claim the shipment.

 

 

 

 

5. RETURNS


You may return your order to SmartArt.in if you are not completely satisfied with it. 
SmartArt.in will issue a refund for the amount of the items. Any Shipping charges are non refundable.

 

 

RETURNS PROCEDURE:

Please return the items within 7 days from delivery to you. Our Returns Address is below. Please repack the items and delivery slip carefully in the original packaging you received them in and ship it to us via a reliable trackable courier.

 

IMPORTANT: Include the DELIVERY SLIP you received in the package which contains your order number. Please specify your reason for return on the reverse side of the delivery slip. Your returns must reach us within 7 days from delivery to you, with the items in undamaged, unused and resaleable condition to be eligible for a refund. SmartArt.in reserves the right to determine if items returned are in undamaged and unused condition and fit for resale. 
Refunds will be made in most cases via your original payment method or otherwise by any other method determined by SmartArt.in

Replacement in the case if i
tems damaged during delivery.

SmartArt.in uses very reliable shippers to make sure your art is delivered safely. In the rare event that your items are damaged during shipping, SmartArt.in offers you a replacement if you contact us within 3 days of taking delivery. Please contact us with your order number and details at customercare@smartart.in  . We will inform you within 48 hours about replacement procedure of the same items.
